Go nuts.

Cut your Flesh and Worship Satan

Well, not that the original cover is any better. But the record sounds like a stabbed pig.

This cover is perhaps not all that bad, but compared to the original, this cover looks like shit. No need to mention the shitty color of the records either. I didn't bother to buy this, and I am still looking for the original for decent price. I liked the Draco Osmose reissue though, even though the fifth song is on the first side. It should have been pressed like the original record... moving on...

I don't know if this record is really considered a reissue, but the cover is ugly as fuck nonetheless. The III CD cover is great, is the VOV mix good enough to buy again?

I recall one release at this time which the reissue had a better cover, and that release is Katharsis's 666. Too bad that the release is shitty compared to the rest of their discography, including Kruzifixxon, which I find untouchable.

i've grown to like the "battle" cover more in time, but this is one of those that got worse (artwork wise) with each re-release

Pentagram - Review your choices and Sub basement digi pack cd re issues on SOM with black on black pentagrams...

And I still have to get used to see both vinyls also with different artwok, though they dont look bad.

shitty cover? any Candlelight reissue by the look of things

All fucking dross. Well at least the VBE one is still wierd as hell I guess. The Arcturus....just why? The Blut Aus Nord one I find especially offensive since I actually own it, sure its still the same great music but the cover is a joke, and a complete insult to the original one which is just fantastic:

Can't trust these bastards to get a thing right.

also Angantyr Vinyl RE-releases look dull and silly compared to the cool-as-fuck original CD and Vinyl versions. Would have loved to hold HAEVN in 12" with the artwork intact

I find it quite staggering that todays digital printing will sometimes result in extremely low quality prints compared to the original covers which were mostly photographed. That Sodom cover is such an example. The reissues of Mental Funeral, Blessed are the Sick or the recent Bathory reissues also look like complete shit.

All reissues should look like the original records. That's why people buy reissues in general. I hate when the artwork is different, extras, etc... Even the labels' website address on the covers bug me.

I try to buy as few reissues as possible because off that but I still want to be able to play the records though (even if most of the time they sound like shit because records from the 90's weren't pressed the same way as records are nowadays.) Anyway, the Isvind LP reissue definitely made me feel like I had wasted my money again and that I should try to get an OG LP instead. Sigh.

The Arcturus isn't a reissue. Listen to the originals then listen to that album- they are different. Plus it's a compilation of 3 releases so it doesn't really count anyhow.

Merciless - The Treasures With LP reissue cover SUCKS. Looks like late 90's photoshop crap. Sure, the original cover isn't too great either, but at least I kinda get a "non serviam" vibe from the colors and painting style.
