Great album. The bass tone and vocals are especially excellent.

Häxan and Spectres are probably some of my favourite BM releases of all time. Hypnotizing and genuinely sinister material. Anyone know if the band have anything planned for 2012?

Vocals are like a possessed man sing..Haunted screams,no fucking ''incantation'' vocals,if you know what I mean.Rip your own throat with pain. With all my respect for Incantation.
When you sing you must feel it.Not typical black death style. It has to come through your soul.He sings like a madman.Perfect.

Just ordered a copy of the first pressing through Discogs for a good price. Loved "Spectres...", so after reading through this thread I can't wait to hear this!

The dlp is worth the price if you can find it - really nicely done.

I don't really understand the obsession with this album. I'll have to listen to it again...

I'd suggest "Spectres" first. It was a good gateway for me into the band and I still think it's easily their strongest stuff.

That's how I felt after about 2 listens, but at that time I didn't know there was mass obsession with it haha. Traded the tape away in any case

"Haxan" is truly an amazing album. Perfect atmosphere, and absolutely no filler.
