Said it earlier on, I'll say it again, I don't give a flying fuck what the cunts listen or don't listen to, it's indeed pretty annoying though that such pricks in other threads act like they're the biggest know-it-all UG wolves ever while it turns out they know Asphyx through youtube. I like it how it's acceptable to state that Hell Awaits is crap, but hey dare to say a word against Katharsis (or one of those other equally as worthless 6th rate clone bands they drool over) and you'll get that whole gang of 20-something spoilt imbeciles on a crusade against you calling you "a troll" or similar. _________________ Thread derailed

what is weird to me, to each his own ok , is for example if you are into Slayer how can you not like Judas Priest and so on...
Or being into Bathory and not into Motörhead or Manowar, or into Cianide and not liking Celtic Frost etc ...
i mean all those bands have strong roots in traditionnal metal even in rock n'roll .
Fuck i even enjoy listening to Turbo from time to time ! |

Calling you a troll would be wrong. Attentionwhore suits better in your case.
Seems in real life no one gives a shit about you, so posting here to complain about other peoples business is the only thing you have in life.
Poor idiot ...
I hope that you are at least some kind of teenager. If you are really above thirty then i am really sorry for you. _________________

Agreed. It's obvious that a lot of people here were introduced to metal by Children of Bodom or some other modern band five years ago or so and as such obviously have no clue what metal is supposed to sound like, hence all the "early Metallica isn't extreme enough", "Exodus is boring" nonsense. There is no way people like these can be taken seriously. _________________ Thread derailed

Coincidently I finally got it on CD yesterday (my worn out cassette tape has been retired) Sounds great listening to it on a stormy night. |

Welcome to the state of modern metal fandom. Largely made up of ill-informed individuals who permeate bands that are complete shit while probably never having listened to a Priest record but hates the band by default or out of principle.
I could care less if you don't like Priest, Maiden, or Sabbath but don't try and parade around like you're into metal to the bone while only supporting shit like Inquisition or other type-1 modern derived clone band. _________________ Listen to Countess. |

True statement. Although I have yet to hear the alternate version of their second album with Paul on vocals. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

I thought he just sang on some demos before the album was recorded? |

I was told by Lino of Villains that there's a rare promo version of Pleasures of the Flesh with Paul Baloff on vocals. Anyone else know about this? _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

The only rare promo that I know of, and I'm sure you do too, is this...
The 3 demo songs w/Baloff and the live tracks from "The Ultimate Revenge". This version was never (obviously) released. |

I wouldn't say it's boring, certainly miles away from the magic of BdB but still fairly decent speed/thrash. Thats the problem affecting bands with one or two really groundbreaking albums in their catalogue, every other release -no matter how good- is bound to sound weaker and pale by comparison, see Angel Witch, Assassin etc. I'd love to see one of those awfully shitty black/thrash bands of today write something having 1/10 of the class and energy of Pleasures of the flesh/Fabulous disaster. _________________ Thread derailed
