I'm a bit ashamed that I haven't bought any of their albums, since you can pretty much get half of their vinyl discography for a song right now. _________________ http://sethbennettillustration.blogspot.com/ - Artwork and graphic design

agreed on most of the bands listed in this thread. i have had many conversations about some of these bands not getting the attention they rightfully deserve.
and golden bull et al. are absolutely correct about ares kingdom. legends in our midst and yet comparatively so little praise. its a shame that nwn has not sold out of 3 pressings of both of their full lengths.
i would also add vulpecula to this list (and not just because i still have copies of "in dusk apparition" in my distro). one of the greatest bands ever.
sacriphyx is surely not as well noticed as they should be, but i think that simply has a lot to do with the fact that they have not yet released an album and none of their material is on cd. they are one fantastic though and i hope they rise to the top quickly when the album comes out at last.
also cosigned on misery's omen, villains, cauldron black ram, and others mentioned here.
id also say that its unbelievable that death yell dlps took so long to sell from nwn. easily one of the best releases on nwn in terms of music and visual presentation. we were surprised and how long those records remains in the distro. _________________ www.birdofillomen.com |

Ares Kingdom, Villains and Cult of Daath are my top 3 most underrated bands in metal at the moment. I truly believe that plenty of people will be kicking themselves in the future over having missed them when they were around. All 3 bands show a mastery of actual songwriting that is on the par with the classic bands of the genre... especially AK. Has anyone (other than Midnight, at least for me) written a more raging and iconic anthem than "Ironclad" in the past decade? _________________

Panphage
Very productive bm band from Sweden that has, although there has been a new release almost every year, managed to evolve and deliver quality material with every release up to date. |

If you like Blodfest I can tell you its water compared to what they did in the past.
Try to get hold of the cd they did as SOLHVERV and the un-released mcd (can be found for download for free) as Helheim - Gravlandets Vogtere.
It is by far the most underrated and overlooked band/recording in extreme metal - period! _________________ Are you Death?
