vacationing in portland the 25th thru the 6th, never been there so i don't know many people or the city at all. cutting it a bit close, but if anyone knows of cool shit to do, cool shit to see, good record shops, good shows etc or even wants to meet and hang out...let a feline know.

haha, if i was driving up there, you can bet your pasty ass i'd stop in and hang for a bit. i'm flying in though and i'll be limited to public trans for the whole of the trip i'm afraid.

cheap beer, good veg food (if you're that way inclined) and lots of hipsters. if you're into punk, a venue called "the know" is pretty good, they might have metal there too, i don't know. ground kontrol arcade is pretty fun, you can drink and play some classic old arcade games. umm, i went on this underground tour there (can't remember the name) which was interesting but a little lame. i've heard there are some good record stores, although i didn't check out any when i was there.
