Backyard Mortuary - Lure of the Occult

Great fucking Death Metal from Australia, sadly defunct.
So filthily dark that it is atmsopheric for me.

Not an album but I have always considered the demo of MORTEM (Nor) - Slow death one of the most obcure death metal stuff...very terryfing with that bass sound!

I would choose Exalted over Odori. I feel like Gnosis of the Summon is one of the darkest death metal tracks I've ever heard.
100% agreed, I was going to add Exalted Emanation. Overwhelming in the best way. It makes me think of being lost under ancient Egypt, much like the imagery and feeling of Lovecraft's "Under the Pyramids".
probably my favorite Lovecraft one, I remember that I was listening to Evoken (Embrace the Emptiness) while reading and it was so perfect, it litterally scare me in every way, really fascinating one!

Nar Mattaru - Enuma Elish is extremely fucking dark. Probably one of the darkest death metal releases post 2000 and in general.
