Tough choice between VIVIsectVI and Too Dark Park, but VIVIsectVI got my vote.

Too Dark Park followed closely by Last Rights. None of their stuff comes close to touching those two, to me. I was a fan of them in high school and college and had all their albums up through Last Rights, but those two were the ones I ended up playing half to death.

Pretty much exactly how I feel, but I'd put Last Rights over Too Dark Park. Great band.

Besides calling some tracks on Abducted fillers, you have a quite nice taste on music, Frozen. Very Happy

I dont know much about Skinny Puppy, but The Process has been my soundtrack to whatever computer game I play for centuries.

Cleanse Fold and Manipulate is my favorite of all time. Listen to the fuck out of this album when I was going through dark times in my life.

Spasmolytic is one of the best music videos made IMO. Talk about just having 1 bad fucking day!

It's a tie between Remission, Bites, Cleanse Fold and VIVIsectVI. Never liked Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse for some reason. Can't really choose a favorite, but Cleanse probably had the biggest emotional impact on me. An intensely dark and somber album. A smack cabaret. Didn't give two shits about the post-VIVIsectVI stuff. I'm not surprised that a lot of people like it here though. It's much more "organic" for a lack of better word. I prefer the cold and synth-based style of their early work. That's when they really stood out to me. A clusterfuck of Roland machines laced in gritty distortion.

Fun fact:
The catalog title for NWN releases is ANTI-GOTH.

Now we have goth and industrial threads. Irony, gotta love it.

Just saw them last night, great stage show as always. Voted for Last Rights but it's a close tie w/ Too Dark Park. Oddly enough, I enjoy their newer albums a good bit too, especially Greater Wrong of the Right, haven't gotten around to Weapon yet though.

Voted for Last Rights as well, fond memories of college and powerful hallucinogens!

I went on a major Skinny Puppy binge a couple of months ago and pretty much listened through the entire catalog, well up to The Process at least (not really a fan of the ones after that).

as a skinny puppy fan since i was 10 years old, so, 15 years, i can safely say it's a tossup between vivisectvi and last rights, unquestionably. too dark park has a few decent songs like shore lined poison and grave wisdom, even though Rabies is better than TDP overall. too dark park is for adolescent minded listeners.

in the end, it's up to two and i chose vivisectvi although love in vein is my favorite skinny puppy song period.

last time i saw them live, in 2009, was one of the best live shows, maybe the best live show, ive ever been to.

oh and you may want to check out necro facility, a newer swedish group that rips off skinny puppy especially on their first two albums - on the third they formed their own style.
they're not nearly as good as SP but... when i was heavily into that electro industrial stuff as a teenager i liked them
