Not sure if thats very late but the last by Inferno is a huge leap from previous work.
Also agree on Antaeus and DsO.

The most recent Inferno album is monumental. Earlier stuff is bland in comparison.

Unleashed

No fucking way! Can't top Where No Life Dwells.

Their latest albums are boring Necrophobic clones with stupid lyrics. IMO

Early Unleashed is all that matters

I've been listening to Bestial Raids since the split with Blasphemophagher. Always been a fan, but they climbed to the top with their recent outputs. That band worked hard to get to this point, and it paid off. From the song structures to production, they are absolutely perfect now.

Don't quote me on that, but I'm quite sure that the last few Unleashed albums have been written mainly by the guitarist who is also in Necrophobic. So this makes sense...in a way.

Evoken

Their early stuff was good, but in a poor man's Disembowelment kind of way. They started finding their own direction on Quietus and Atra Mors was the apex of their efforts (so far) and one of the greatest death/doom albums of this century, if not ever.
