I usually run my tape or record player directly into the mic input of the computer, press record on a recording program and play on the tape or record player. I use this audio cable to headphone input thingy! _________________

I usually make the same and after that I pass the songs by the Cool Edit to normalize the audio volume |

www.ripvinyl.com is a great option. Cheap (you can probably just find the very same program for free with a bit of digging), easy to use and it sounds great. I use it from time to time to digitize some LP's. |

Still waiting to get my first turn table, amp, speakers..
Now using my trusty Sony discman, laptop (for ripping and transferring mp3s) and Sony mp3 player. Love the Sony for its strong bass. _________________ Looking for DEATH METAL bands!

| Went garage saling today and picked up a working Techniques receiver for $1 and a very nice audio cabinet (for LP player, even has LP storage slots and it's own glass dust cover) for $45! I'm stoked. |

Before my son was born I was always using my Pioneer system. Pioneer elite amp, Baby Grande 3D Nuance towers (about 4' in height) Great sound, great bass. Always been really happy with this system.
Now I generally have the truck system which is just stock. Or the computer with youy typical sound system that lacks any real features to brag about. ...and generally use this at work where I tend to listen to most of my music now. |
