I had it on lp and sold it for almost nothing, then realized it's worth €50 on ebay
not a big fan of the lp but I heard far worse iwhen it comes to technical death metal. |

You're name is interesting relating to Sentenced...or Taneli Jarva, with his post Sentenced band, The Black League...having an an album named Ichor.

A good album nonetheless.
Was a bit disappointed when Amok was out but having had repeated listens (plus all their post North.. albums), i have to say good albums too. _________________ Looking for DEATH METAL bands!

definitely, AMOK is a great and overlooked album. North from here and Amok
are great record. Love and death EP too. Far better than anything before or after. |

North From Here is an absolute masterpiece which even outshines the really good debut.
Obvioulsy influenced by the technicality of Atheist, that album has truly epic qualities (lots of the harmony progression reminded me of classic silent movie scores btw).
I was incredibly disappointed upon hearing the unbelievably base, shallow and powerless Amok album afterwards... watered down shit metal in my opinion. _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

To me North From Here is the only truly great Sentenced album. Shadows... is good and I also like Amok to some extent, even though it has not stood that well against time.
But they are nowhere near the brilliance of songs like My Sky Is Darker Than Thine, Awaiting the Winter Frost, Beyond the Wall of Sleep or especially Epic. |

Same here, SENTENCED has never been deadlier than on these recordings to me. Just catchy at the first take, but if one's willed to dive into there's so much sinister undertones that "Amok" and "The Trooper" are of this kind of rare releases one really has to prepared for. Otherwise, you'll see...

| I love it. One of those "lost" lps no one ever speaks about--along with Aeturnus' "Beyond the Wandering Moon." I spin both of these lps often. |

I quote every single word.
Amok was disappointing, so powerless. _________________ Into the Menstrual Night We Go-o, Hey-Ho, Hey-Ho...

| Unfair of me to judge as I can't fully remember what this sounded like but as far as I remember I didn't really enjoy it, but I'll consider giving it another spin sometime. |
