There´s a storm coming.... HIS storm!

Always liked this band - but especially the 7"eps era - a compilation lp/cd of the 7"eps would be cool. A cd could have the demo + 10"lp as well.

I have the eps but I must confess I can´t be bothered with flipping 7´s and changing from 33 to 45 every 4-5 minute.

Great band. Massively overlooked.

Treuelied is better death metal than most that gets praised on this forum.

Spot on Panzer, never hear people bring up Devilry too much. I think I bought some Devilry stuff from HHR or maybe Werwolf back when he has independent distro. Either way, totally underrated and youtube has not exterminated yet 🍺🍺🍺

That´s right - people never bring them up too much. Maybe because they - like Sadomator - is a tape/vinyl band only!?
I like their constant pumping/rolling Tank-like tempo. Steady - Crushing - Deadly!

I used to be in contact with Sir Holm and did sell more than one Devilry title in my small distro. That seem so many years ago...

Haha yeah youtube even has Mus..m Genocide… I wonder how that did not get taken down?

Great band. Been playing Treuelied in the gym a lot.

Klaxon has it on CD and LP.

Youtube missed it but they did take down a video of what they thought to be an NSBM demo; Christchurch Messiah ‘88, which was actually just a live filming of a christian mass from 1988.

🤣 just kidding but accurate for their random shotgun blast of video removals. Oh well, great band and you can usually find all the material at a very affordable price.

We need a comp cd of all the pre 1st album stuff.
But maybe there is not enough money in Devilry - as Hidden points out Devilry is easy and cheap to find. I think even Spring is around in distros still.
Really weird how that goes!

Never say never but don't hold you breath Wink

I might be a bit biased to say this but Devilry has always been among the best when it comes to Finnish Death Metal. I have been doing their releases since the "Muslim Genocide" EP and each release has ALWAYS been a step forward. Unfortunately the band is more or less dead now....
Down to last 5 copies of the "Treuelied" CD by the way.

Dude... I've been looking for this LP stateside for a while. Thanks for the heads up!

And I agree with all praising Devilry. They rule.

Actually I was surprised to learn about Treuelied as I thought they died with Spring. Its hard to explain - I just kinda had a feeling it was about done for them.
I also think they were better on ep or tape format than on full albums. It was more fitted for their style somehow.

Can't blame you for thinking that, there's a good 10 year gap between those two albums. To each his own of course but personally I think both albums work extremely fine as they are, both clocking that magical near half an hour length. Relentless brutality executed with militaristic precision!

It might also be the fact that with Spring they finally left the last bit of "garage" sound and became a more "prof" sounding band. The basts has become surgically precise and blistering fast as opposed to that tank stumping stuff on the earlier material.
Good - though I prefer the pre Spring stuff.
