I'm really partial to the sound of a drum computer when it comes to black metal. Even death metal works for me often enough (like Goatlord's Reflections of the Solstice). To me it seems like the quick and dry "snappy" sounding drum samples add to the immediacy of the musick that's being played, when it comes to black metal. It adds a certain feeling of speed and hurriedness to what's often already fast stuff.

I think Godkiller is a good example of this. Majestic tunes, with that really peculiar bouncy drum sound:

Kristallnacht is another really good example:

What are some other good examples of this?

Aosoth, but I don't know if it sounds mechanical enough to be what you're looking for.

I think only Fear that Freeze and the french version of Holocaust in Mourning Dawn are the tracks on this with a drum machine as the rest of the album I'm fairly certain has horribly played actual drums (that are apart of the gloriousness of the recording of course).

Other bands...

Orgy of Carrion
Reek of Unzen Gas Fumes for the crazy fucking drum programming especially
Fullmoon
Chaos Cascade
Ildjarn/Nidhogg/Sort Vokter
Megalith Grave
Black Funeral
Capricornus- Stahlgewitter for being barbaric and pummeling
Neo Inferno 262

I know I'm forgetting more but Countess, Kristallnact and NKVD are good mentions as well. Aosoth totally sounds like a real drummer at times.

I didn't know Orgy of Carrion used a drum machine.
I guess that is a plus of raw recording quality.

This was the first band I was going to name. III is so good that you sometimes don't even realize that it's not a real drummer.

On the Hymns of Melancholic Violence and Plague box it's definitely almost all a drum machine except for Rehearsal I which I'm almost certain is real drums.
