As long as you wear the censored German logo version, no problem:

i don't know what are ur musical preferences, but being at your place i would organize my trip consideing the summer festivals that take place, mostly, in germany.
also, i would suggest to visit gemany in the dead of summer, and italy in may-june, because italy is too hot in july-august. germany could be a bit less hot.
anyway, to give you an idea, even a small town (200.000 people) like mine, Brescia, has several things to visit. My town has the fucking Mille Miglia old cars career as main touristic event, but you can see place like the middle age castle or the roman temple ("Capitolium", closed during the 80s for being a satanic rituals place), have a look:

ok, i'm not promoting my town, it is just to give you an idea about the average artistic/hostorical level of almost any place in italy.
generally:
-TURIN: as you plan to visiti piemont, its main town is Turin, once Kingdom of Italy's capital... don't miss the egyptian museum.
-ROME is just amazing, there are too many things to see (you cannot miss the coliseum and the fucking vatickans museum, but there are also less know stuff like Mythra's subterranean temple, christians' catacombs, the alchemic door near the Esquilino). The town is very chaotic and noisy, and fucking hot during the summer.
-FLORENCE and TUSCANY: fantastic for Renaissance and middle age, museums in florence are some of the best. For someone coming from America it could be very interesting to visit some of the small medieval towns around... if you forget the cars and the modern dresses of people you'll see exactly how the town was during the middle age (try Montepulciano, i.e., also killer for wine). Don't miss the typical "fiorentina" meat.
-MILANO: despite a lot of amazing stuff (Castello sforzesco, Cathedral, ancient buildings and museums) the town sucks big time, i would avoid it exept for the mentioned stuff.
-VENEZIA: again very good for renaissance time and for being an absolutely unique town, built on the sea interesting the mix of western and eastern architecture (see the San Marco cathedral, with those strange domes).
-If you are a faggot go to Verona and visit the Romeo and Juliet balcony, watch again "shakespeare in love" and kill yourself
yes bump the thread for gigs. but almost no gigs on july and august, except few crappy mainstream festivals... _________________

Nope, that's no joke. KISS have a different logo in Germany, as ridiculous as it sounds.

I've been advised not to wear any NSBM shirts or patches in Germany by a German friend, so I'd take that on board.
If you'd like to know about UK gig dates, I can forward dates to one of the guys from Hellige (who are on your label) to pass it onto you. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

You won't have much choice now, it's closing this month. Shame. It had some excellent stuff there. There's a second hand record shop on the high street that has some decent cheap finds from time to time, but aside from that are there any stalls which sell anything worthwhile musically?
The UK has some fairly nice places here, I'd recommend Edinburgh; possibly my favourite city in the countries which fall under the UK. For all its claims for being the "Home of Metal", Birmingham is a huge disappointment.

It goes to that Bermuda Triangle place along with your television remote and house keys. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

Same situation with Slayer. I have an old South of Heaven poster that I found in a used record store a decade ago...its got a goofy looking ”S”. And all the legal stuff on the bottom is in German. |

Bump for gigs, especially London/Rome the first half - 20 days of July and Prague/Vienna/Budapest for the second half to early August.
Black Metal, HxC, crust, neofolk, noise, drone, post-rock, or whatever you feel like suggesting
Also record stores, maybe. _________________ 14 / 88 = 0.159090909...

You can choose not to wear such shirts alright, but I wonder, what if one has, say, sunwheel, some runes, totenkopf or whatever that is banned over there tattooed in some visible part of the body? |
