Been listening to Infernal and Legions of Perkele non fucking stop this month. Still have yet to hear that new split but i hear it's a bit more in the old style. Nazgul's Eyrie put out some good shit.

Title edited for more concise discussion/shit talking.

Old Barathrum is excellent. All up to Legions of Perkele.

However, nowadays Barathrum is basically a joke.

In complete agreement. I find myself enjoying Sataana sometimes but the lyrics and production generally just kill me.

Additionally I was wondering (Master's Throne) what the likelihood is for early album or demo reissues.

Eerie is by far my favorite. The atmosphere on that record is unbeatable, and The Twilight/Black Goat/Dagger Seal Vengeance section is incredible! Infernal and Hailstorm are nearly as good, too, and Legions of Perkele is solid. I never could get into any of the albums after that.

Those of you who are into this band should check out the Long Live Satan live CDR. Killer set from '96, chock full of the old classics... this band is excellent live.

Hailstorm is the best for me. It's so fucked up and occult sounding.

Same here. It's on my top 5 black metal releases for sure.

I agree that the first four albums are excellent, can't really speak on present Barathrum.

I will have to devote more attention to this album. It's definitely the one I am least familiar with of the earlier material.

Any news on the proposed KBTMT re-releases of Eerie and Infernal?

I strongly doubt these are going to happen on KBTMT.
