Yeh, it's fuckin' stupid. From memory, the whole first album is like this with Nazi-esque/WW2/Wagner sounds mixed in. I've never heard the second album, though. |
Yeah, that guy was a regular Superman. I remember the interview in Heresy mag where he was talking up his credentials as a well studied and qualified composer in the classical tradition, and anyone who didn't like what they heard simply wasn't elite/superior enough to qualify in listening.
I actually saw the 1st CD in a record shop, gave it a listen out of curiosity. Fuck that, didn't buy it. Guess I'm too weak to understand such art.
No mention of Samain here yet?

Hated By Humanity is quite good black/grind with insane vocals, I'd suggest trying to find or atleast download their album "Humans Hate Us" it's quite intense.
Most Impact Winter releases are near impossible to find these days, so look up and download "Destroy the World" EP, more insane war/black grind metal, and the vocalist was fukked up on acid and cheap wine when he did his vocals. Also look for Hellvomitingdarkinsanity mcd, same thing but a tighter production. They were supposed to release a new full length album "God Is Dead" but it seems its been delayed for years, it's a shame as I think it would be a good album from the samples I've heard. |

The Kabal CDr was great. I think it was a temporary project setup by ex-members of Pagan (WA) to record some old songs. Well-produced, fast black/death.
And then there was Zijl. I personally thought it was a bit cheesy, but it's very melodic, easy-listening black metal.
I'm sure the CDr's are completely lost now, but if anyone wants it, I'll rip it for them.

Naetu from Perth were pretty decent at Evil Invaders last year and I think Mark has played them on our radio show before. It looks like one of them is a welder though as they had a crazy elaborate metal mic stand and Shredder style arm guards

Yeah was thinking that too.
Didn't check them out at Armageddon fest. They'd come to Sydney the previous year with Cradle of Filth so I was a little put off by that.
