Be Honest now folks Cool

Just saw this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&autorefresh=true&item=220996143578&nma=true&rt=nc&si=ALqMfe8rVHJGOB5WtL49dEAOGLM%253D&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I don't comprehend spending that much money on one cd.

The most I ever spent on one single record was $220 for the Emperor 12" to replace my battered copy. I had a battle of conscious before I paid for it thinking it'd only get more expensive and I really like that record. Lo and Behold, a year later Candlelight reissue it.

I think, for myself, I'd draw the sanity line at €150 and no more in the future. Trading multiple items however sits ok with me. Same shit of course, but somehow it feels better Wink

Damn. The buyer could have bought 30 cd copies and several of the special vinyl editions Kryck Productions is about to unleash here soon of Arcturus for that price... and never know the difference probably. Laughing

$250 on Funeral Mist - Salvation DLP. That was my moment of weakness and absurdity.

I think I may have dropped $40 on a CD before, but cannot recall what it would have been anymore... goes to show how important it really was to have I suppose. Embarassingly. Embarassed

Paid $150 for Taake-Nattestid LP. Between $60-90 for many many LPs. Generally I don't really care; I tend to sell off a few less important items before I make a bigger purchase. Usually it's a good chance to pick up a top want AND weed out some uninteresting stuff from my collection.

hmm, thats exactly the same amount of bucks I'd also draw a line.
There was this thread of yours asking about firstpresses and such and to be honest, I'd pay a fucking lot for darkthrone's T.H. when it pops up again somewhere.

My highest were 150 € for burzum aske MLP and about 120-140 euros for 3-4 firstpress LPs some time ago.

highest for a CD: 40 for Utumno.

65$ buy it now for a green/black marbled Lurker of Chalice DLP. One of my personal favourites, so it was well worth it, even if I was unemployed at the time and starving haha.

$150 for Warning - "The Strength To Dream" and "Watching From A Distance". After being sold out of course.
Wouldn't pay more than $100 for a record, and that's really gotta be in my soft spot. Otherwise I can do without.
