I just got the album today and I notice on the second last page of the cd sleeve it says the album was performed by CULTES DES GHOULES and NAMELESS VOID.

Is this the same Nameless Void as in Negative Plane?

It is.
fucking cool - love N.P. yah I got the cd and every track is good - no filler --- I like when HHR releases the CD and vinyl the CD on the same day and offer the 2 in a combo deal -- I am in my cube working or driving in my truck way too much - I cant live without having a portable copy (don't even mind tapes - got the old school yellow sony Walkman at work)

I wonder how big of a role Nameless Void played in this album.

I would really love to know this also........ but I have a feeling that the mystery surrounding the band in general will extend to their recording processes unfortunately.

The day that a band seriously incorporates bongos into their album and then defends the inevitable backlash through some sort of rigid "Fuck you if you do not understand the ritual ascension power cast forth through these Instrumentz ovv Pozzezzion" is the day that the underground will be canceled for good.

Hoest was using a Banjo on Noregs Vaapen. Came close. But sounded awesome, just about...

Lugubrum already used banjo for years (since De Totem?). Also sax, mandolin, etc...

Even today, in many cultures witches and shamans use drums in their rituals. So bongos (or whatever simple drums like that) are quite logical choice for Cultes des Ghoules record.

What always sticks in my head after listening to this album = the cymbals. I really like how the drums were given room to breathe and create a space for themselves.

Blood of Kingu use bongos and it sounds good. Are their not any used in Henbane? The first promo picture for the album last year had bongos on it.

This is dumb. Your version of the underground deserves to be canceled.
