The opening riff of "Baptized by Barron" is strangely happy. The first time I heard it I could have sworn it was a riff from Huey Lewis and the News song.  Obviously it isn't quite the same but it's basically the same chords as the main riff in "the power of love." Marty McFly!
Haxan is a weird fucking album and it definitely took time to click with me too.

This band is more kvlt than an actual demon licking a nun's asshole. Anytime a link to an available CDG release pops up you have about .0666 seconds to hit it.

Yeah, the first riff caught me off guard initially. It's pretty major key. Haxan is weird but totally great, and does a pretty good job of sounding completely inhuman.
I can't look through 30+ pages of this thread for my sanity's sake, but the streaming track from Henbane is awesome and I can't wait for this to hit US distros. Great band. |
