Yeah, same. The artwork is very different from their previous stuff, really wondering how that related to the sound.

Quite good original artwork by black metal standards. However the hands of the woman (?) on the right are all wrong, especially the fingers. That's just a technical issue though.
Also the image seems a bit flat, not much contrast.

I don't understand either of your criticisms

Yep, neither do I Confused

Not shocking considering what I've heard of it sounds nothing like black metal to begin with.

Aye, I don't know what everyone are messing their trousers for. It's a good drawing, but that's about it. DSO are one of those bands hovering on the border between BM and this arty gibberish post black metal.

More importantly is whether the artwork relates to the EP's theme as part of the trilogy appendix. In fact the starving quasi-ascetic man has been a re-used figure since Fas and (the Comaworx artwork on the rerelease of) Diabolus Absconditus (unless the holocaust victim on SMR,C is also used for the same cause), but in general the artwork of each release has always been unique anyway.

I think it has just been too long since the last proper release for everyone to enjoy a good moan about Deathspell Omega online.

I knew I had seen that image somewhere else, it's a picture taken by mexican photographer Marco Antonio Cruz
