Still waiting on these since I ordered CD/shirt, LP and US version of the CD. The US edition has a different release date. For fuck sake. Anyone know when I can expect to get a dispatch from SoM based on the US release? _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

After few listening sessions, i have to say Drought is my least favorite new DSO record along with Chaining The Katechon. But its good, thats for sure. There are some wierd parts like beginning of Fiery Serpents, first riff and tempo sounds totally out of place, not in a good way.
After SMRC i've noticed that DSO works best in slow tempo songs/parts, and thats still the case. Salowe Vision, Sand, The Crackled Book of Life...easily the best songs in Drought.
In conclusion, Drought is very enjoyable manifestation and fills the void of epilogue in this magnificent trilogy. |

seemed it was not him singing on Paracletus. at least for the french spoken parts, and also quite sure for the rest. _________________ www.necrocosm.org

Well, obviously some one else (from the band possibly) did the parts spoken in French since I doubt that Mikko speaks fluent French (doesn't sound like him anyway), but most of the vocals on Paracletus are clearly still him (if he was the vocalist of DsO to begin with) _________________ https://www.facebook.com/dodkvlt

That was definitely him on Paracletus in the non-French parts. As far as his participation in DSO to begin with, I believe he has been forthright about his involvement in some interview or something a few years ago, no ? Not sure of the source....

| Two listens and I'm not impressed. First time I can say that about Deathspell...ever. Aside from a few moments in tracks two and three, it's completely uninteresting to me. No moments that seemingly come out of nowhere and surprise the hell out of me (something they did continually on Fas and Paracletus). It almost sounds like Ulcerate trying to do DSO, in my opinion... Continuing in the stream of disappointments from my favorite metal bands in the past year...Absu, Burzum, and now this. I'll keep trying though. |

Spica from S.V.E.S.T. apparently performed the vocals in French. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

I'm surprised how many people aren't digging this album. It sounds fucking tremendous, the mix gives it a very wide, interesting soundstage, and it's typical-DSO complex, aggressive tunage. What's not to like? _________________ Good deals with: Numerator41, addison, deathsleep, witch sermon, xyosefx, invinCIBility, Weltbrand |

Same here. Salowe Vision, Scorpions & Drought and The Crackled Book of Life are the highlights of the EP for me. |

Where is the evidence to suggest Mikko has ever been in the band in the first place? The question in the 2004 interview was asking why the band chose to work with the Northern Heritage label and Clandestine Blaze for the split release.
Anyway, Drought does not disappoint, easily amongst the best of their work. |

| Unless sounding just like Mikko Aspa is a thing now, I don't think anyone would really doubt that it's him. But I will admit that it's a pretty good way to rile up fans that have always assumed so. |

Sounds like the same vocalist they've had for quite a few releases to my ears (since SMRC in fact) _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com
