thys style has confused me for a long time, because when i've been at the deepest depths of clinical depression, writing music or lyrics was the LAST fuckin thing i wanted to do...and i cant even imagine trying to write music or lyrics about the subject at hand under those circumstances

Exclamation

It's a weird genre although I do enjoy some of those bands. Mostly the ones who don't label themselves as such.

There's this one band whose name I can't remember and it's killing me!!!
American band if I'm correct. Pretty interesting chaotic black metal. The singer killed himself after the recordings. Kind of jellow album cover I believe.
Fuck, I need to know!

Edit: Malvery! And they are Canadian.

That picture... fuck. Pitiful to see someone like that.

(In before the tiring "Good riddance"-reply)

The same goes for the musicians themselves, I think. I'll let google do the job:
https://www.google.nl/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=ojUcVNayO4iP7Abq4AE&gws_rd=ssl#q=recurrent+depressive+episodes
In other words: the music is, most probably, written before and after these periods.

true suicidals are too apathetic to form a band
I am depressed and possibly a candidate for some ill conceived drug/alcohol fueled suicide in the coming years, but I wouldn't be caught dead playing some faggy shit like most of this genre

I always find it pretty fucked up to commit suicide when you're a father, seemengly this guy's case. One of the few cases in which you can actually call suicide a selfish act. Other than that...its one's choice.

edit: his band wasn't too bad, upon hearing some songs on bandcamp. Typical swedish black metal, kinda good actually.

Out of curiosity, what are some albums that you find really capture the way you feel? If any...

This guy says you're wrong (from beyond the grave of course). Plenty of great art has been made by people channelling their misery into something creative. But none of it is DSBM haha

OT: that guy from Lifelover
