Can anyone confirm those rumours about knife stabbings and people from the fest getting beaten up? I know Brussels is full of shady untermensch, but I have never had any problems down there, quite on the contrary. I've walked into mafia- and tranny bars like I own the place.
I feel the rumours have escalated quite drastically.

Ona/Tuppi? I blame the alcohol. Noone put a knife to their throat, and Ona found his wallet at the venue.

There was a Norwegian guy who was coming back to our apartment on the final night who was mugged.
There were numerous rumours, but I guess it is difficult to be sure unless there is proof.
Those guys in the BMW outside while Mr. 13 and his gang were getting ready to leave was a bit odd anyway. |

but yes: I know some people got robbed and beaten up pretty bad: broken nose etc.... and it was outside of the venue when walking back to the hotel......
not heard about stabbings etc.
but fights, robberies and pickpockets etc: YES.. I can confirm!
One of my friends was robbed of his cellphone last year (or was it 2011?), ust making a call outside of the venue: 2 guys approached him: 1 hit him straight in the face, the other one grabbed his phone and both ran of different directions... once he noticed what was going on, the guys where already 100 ft away....
sad but true

It`s wierd coming from a city where I don`t need to lock my door if I`m going outside somewhere to walking like a pumped up Rambo with a crushed wine bottle in a shady district of Brussels with some gangsters behind me conspiring. I guess there is no need to rob a guy who smells like a corpse.
The Nidrosian stand was packed all three days, and the heroinnes that havent been mentioned are the girls working there. They worked their ass of and they deserve all the credit.

Forgot them here but they don't read this anyway. Included them in the Facebook statement. Without them it would be impossible to control everything in the merch stand and I'm eternally grateful for the job they did.
