Death Vomit is ok-good old school death, not mandatory, but decent.
Oblachnyj Kraj is a must if you'd like Heavy/Prog Metal with Master's Hammer-uniqueness!
Legion is a joke record, christian jazz/power/thrashcore whatever. Very entertaining though.
Holostoi Vystrel is dark Death/Grind, very crude, caustic record. The russian Nuclear Death? One of the best russian metal LPs, IMO.
Korrozia Metalla is pretty much the most well known band over there. The early stuff is like a fucked up version of old KAT i.e. dark twisted Speed Metal. Later on they went "funny thrashcore" and ultimately Hardcore/RAC like. Orden Satany & Russian Vodka are probably the ones you should get, but Kannibal & Sadizm aren't bad at all.
Don't know too much about the others... _________________ Good/Bad traders list

Agree with CR99, will add that early Master is fucking incredible,Zhelezny Potok is decent thrash (I only have their first LP never heard others) and Phantasm is mediocre death metal.
Oblachnyj Kraj and Holostoj Vystrel are two of my favorite Russian records for sure. |

Which ones are worth getting? A local record shop has two Master LPs. Russian Metal is really hit or miss for me so I didn't buy them blindly. _________________ Good/Bad traders list

Pseudogod and Teitanfyre are just 2 evil examples of obscure russian metal.
There are other underrated names spreading their astral violence across the scene too. |

I'm a big fan of Russian metal so you might not like them as much as I do, but I would call the first two records essential. Should be cheap too, there are tons of copies out there. |

Can't tell much about them but they were formerly known as Alexander Nevskiy and recorded a demo, a 7" (which is a personal favorite) and an album. Godly stuff
As CR99 said, Holostoj Vystrel is really crude and primitive Thrash/Death. Recommended. _________________ http://megawattfanzine.blogspot.be |

| First Korrozia Metalla is mandatory stuff for me, unique and crushing evilness in the riffs. Every song is a classic in my book. IT desperatly needs a re-release since the lp from 91 is really shitty quality wise. |

KPP has a crazy crazy cover art but the music is kind of party metal, not too exciting. But I kept it anyway.
Master (russia) Have all their vinyl versions and they each have a different style, all are good in their own way.
Angels And Demons I forget the sound, I think it might be one of those albums that is 1/2 good metal. Only get it if it is cheap.
Trash Machine not bad thrash if I remember right but I did not hear the album in a long time.
Legion (russia) crap
Zhelezny Potok is 'Iron Stream' I think and the albums are excellent.
Novy Zavet is 'new Testament' and is x-ian doom/thrash. The albums are great, since of course you get it in Russian the lyrics do not annoy. Stormspell did one of their albums on cd here in the US. I prefer the sound of the vinyl over the cd but you can check a few songs here. http://www.stormspell.com/label/novoy-zavet.html
Korrozia Metalla yes the early albums, esp the 1st one, are superb.
Kholostoy Vystrel is some crude raw stuff, for sure, no surprise the guys on this forum love it.
Phantasm for sure is excellent. great death in the oldschool way. buy it!, check the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rMrtogPgvU |

| You should also check Aspid (Аспид). They released a killer death/thrash record. |
