Another poll. This time, something not metal, but certainly related.

Earth AD/Wolfs Blood got my vote, but where's the option "the EPs"?

1. Earth A.D./Wolf's Blood
2. Static Age
3. Walk Among Us

1 and 2 could easily be the way round for me, Earth takes it for nostalgia.

Sadly no, but nevermind, there's the thread to talk about. Wink

I guess the eps could also be considered Collection 1 & 2. I was gonna put them, but it's almost like a greatest hits.

WE'RE ON A VIDEO RAGE! The other recordings are worthless compared! This is the only era of The Misfits that 100% kills! Killer lyrics, fantastic music and Glenn's amazing vocals all amalgamate to create one of the best albums of all time (despite no 'American Nightmare'). Unsurpassable. I strongly reccomend Eeerie's 'Misery Obscura' book for anyone interested in a look back in time to the founding era of this seminal band as well as Samhain and Danzig. Fucking hail.

Ranked somewhat in order:

EPs & Singles
Walk Among Us
Static Age
12 Hits From Hell
Misfits Box Set Disc 3
Earh AD/Wolfs Blood
Evillive

Collections ! & 2 can suck a cock. Just overdubbed BS. Legacy of Brutality offers very little after Static Age was released. Everything after 1983 can go fuck itself.

I think I more or less agree on this, though maybe the first two would be reversed for me. Samhain's Initium is worth mentioning here as well, I suppose; awesome record.

Depending on my mood, the singles, WAU and Static Age could find themselves in a different position....

Same here. Though, for years, I was positive Static Age would never be moved from number one for me. It's definitely got a weirder, more post-punk vibe to some of the songs.
