It makes a bit more sense since this was a symbol of Quebec based Banzai Records and Deathroner are from Quebec. That symbol was on pretty much all Banzai records from Mercyful Fate to Bathory.
However I agree that Deathroner is more like old 80's death metal or deathrash ala Hexx, Sadus, Possessed.

I just happened to randomly check the Bandcamp to see if there was anything new out, having not heard any recent metal all year. This completely knocked me on my ass, instant classic. Like the Canadian answer to "The Nocturnal Silence" with the most OTT Kam Lee-esque vocals I've ever heard. |
