...Or rather I answered a quiery about the release which was asked earlier. I could've remained quiet, but it seems to have taken greater a interest with people now. If I failed to qualify how I acquired the information in the first place, it would seem like I'm posting nothing more than baseless opinions, which is what you seem to be doing here. I believe that the mystery and obscurity should be respected as well, but nothing here has changed at all.
Anyway, once again this is off-topic. URKAOS is what matters here. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

Suuuuuuch a tired concept. Who are we trying to fool pretending digitally recoded albums with modern technology are "obscure" and "mysterious"? Artists won't stop trying to pretend their art comes from the bowels of the obscure netherealm as long as we have people sucking their cocks and saying that sound waves uploaded to a computer is "sacred". Just another way of sucking people into buying gimmicks instead of buying music.
I have no problem worshipping music/artists... but not because of anything outside of the sound of the music that they release and their creativity and/or competency as musicians and in metal music... their knowledge of how to create a good underground vibe that isn't completely ripped off or played out. I have a hard time caring about their politics, activism, beliefs, religion, sexual orientation, fashion sense, blood type or trade skills. _________________

Give or take it sounds like this. It's very drum oriented: http://youtu.be/5YJ_ffWuRn0
It's worth tracking down and worth listening to, you'll find something new between the sounds more with each listen.
Anyway, what should be of concern is AR025, the Urkaos I LP which is fantastic. It has, not surprisingly, the tone and feel of Dödfödd crossed with Ondskapt but with its own unique sound. I certainly recommend that. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

Yup, reason I asked is I'm about to order the Urkaos LP anyways, just wondered if I should get the AR013 too while I'm at it!
The Urkaos samples at bandcamp sound fucking MASSIVE to me, can't understand the mostly "meh" response they've gotten around here. To each his own, of course -- but to me they sound fucking brilliant!
As for AR013... So it kinda sounds like a drum rehearsal, eh? Hmmm hmm. Will think about it.

Indeed. Beketh Nexehmu is some awesome improvised BM. So eerie, great fucked-up vocals. Not as polished and "classical" as URKAOS _________________ DISJECTA MEMBRAE plays Vomitive Doom

I never heard any of the bands involved in the discussion but -while I don't see it as neccesary- the idea of one band being totally hidden as a central part is not that crazy (or retarded as some others pretended it to be).
The listening experience is a total package, you can't deny that. More in a genre so involved per se with ideological aspects as black metal was and (more or less) still is. Deafheaven music is not that far away from Drudkh or even Alcest, and are they all judged the same? Deafheaven look (as alternative rockers) and their clear lack of knowledge/involvement in most UG black metal music is another element playing at the same time of the music.
Another example: how many Gorgoroth's Gaahl-era supporters are today -after all the legal drama and after he declared gay- and how many were back in the day?
Anonymity It's just a fair aesthetical decision, as others decide to sing about politics or mock christianity or to wear corpsepaint...
If that was a central aspect discussed and accepted by the members, once broken it makes sense they decide to dissolve the project. _________________ http://voices-defying-death.blogspot.com.ar/ |
