Aldrahn's band will release their first LP in September

This track is really something to behold https://soundcloud.com/svart-records/urarv-broken-wand

Any thoughts?

No talk about this album... Anyone else got the record?

A highlight of this year for me. Killer riffs and bewitching vibe and performance from Aldrahn. Also really good blend of traditional BM and folk-ish riffage.

Yeah, the whole thing's on Bandcamp, CD, LP, all that. They're doing a second press soon.

Sounds very good based on the clip on Soundcloud. Never heard about the project before. Thanks for the info.

Edit: also very nice production.

Heard one track and it was pretty damn good, although I think Aldrahn's overdoing it.

I got the LP some time ago. It's definitely a good album with a huge DHG vibe

Having listened to the album a couple of times now, it really seems one of the better albums this year. The production is balanced and doesn't feel sterile at all, the riffs are varied, and Aldrahn's voice as good as in the old days. The experimental side to the music isn't overwhelming either.

The drum production slightly resembles DHG's Kronet til Konge on this. Can't put my finger on it.. but there are some similarities in the overall sound or feeling. Or am I imagining it.. Either way, seems like Trish from Asagraum handles the battery on this one.

She's a great drummer for sure and that Asagraum album is quite good btw.
