I'm about to place an order, but want to fill up with some CDs to make it a little worthwhile regarding shipping, but don't know what's worth getting. Please recommend CDs available in the store, with a sentence or two telling why.

Thanks.

Totten Corpse CD
Atrocity CD
Bolt Thrower CD
Brain Dead Tape (not CD but it's a pro tape and has a full length album and a demo on it. Great old Malaysian death metal)

There are more than a few worth getting:

Nifelheim (obvious one, but what a hell)
Decameron (good evil deathrash with some blck touches, can be considered as pre-Dissection)
Devastator (raw thrash with black touches)
Heptameron (morbid and occult death metal)
Ornias (grim black metal with some chaotic death metal touches)
The Chasm (great death metal)
Vemoth (melodic death/black but well played)
there's even some good more traditional metal titles:
Pharaoh
Slough Feg.

I guess your best call is to go to metal-archives check the bands an go to their crappy myspace to check them out. I do this and I have not regretted a single CD I have bought.

Which of the Pharaoh and Slough Feg albums would be a good pick? Do they sound like old Maiden or German speed metal style?

This is the US Atrocity that plays in the deathgrind style. It's from the early 90's so it's not the gay variety of deathgrind that's fashionable these days. I like this CD a lot.

Allegiance is good Marduk-y black metal with really clean production. It's as good as any mid era Marduk stuff if you're into that kind of stuff.

Bolt Thrower realm of chaos obviously.

Four way split CD with Deathevokation is worth it for the Deathevokation tracks alone.

Totten Korps is a must for anyone into filthy South American DM. Not quite as bestial and all over the place as some, but killer atmosphere.

Heptameron is excellent stuff that reminds me of old Samael. Great occult sounding mid-paced death metal.

I've got the BT from ur webshop, bloody brilliant album, must say its tops amongst all the other recent BT releases (with the exception of IVth Crusade which i enjoy a lot due to its suffocating heaviness)

Are the other bands on hte 4 way split any good?

Actually it's a three way split. Mandatory is also really great, Kingdom is okay, but not really my style.

stuff you can buy blindly:

Ancient Gods “Mystic Lands” CD -> for all The Chasm lovers
Bloody Sign "Vana Vigala Loits" CD
Bombarder "Ledena Krv" CD
Decameron "My Shadow..." CD -> this great Death-Thrash record from 1994 is still in Yosuke's mailorder ???
Eternal Darkness "Total Darkness" CD -> purest Death Doom
Hell Born "Cursed Infernal Steel" CD -> simple but highly effective and memorable BlackThrash. Perfect.
Hell Born "Legacy of the Nephilim" CD
Infuneral "Sepulchral Monument" CD -> great Black Metal with very good vocals
Lobotomy "Born In Hell" CD (comment see Decameron)
Lobotomy "Kill" CD (comment see Decameron)
Lobotomy "Lobotomy" CD (comment see Decameron)
Raped God "Raped God" CD
Scorched Earth "Devils in Iron" CD -> similar to Obeisance. Great Texas-Death Metal style.
Stormkrider "Lucifer Rising" CD -> very good Melodic Death with great "flowing" guitars
The Chasm "Conjuration of the Spectral Empire" CD
The Chasm "Reaching The Veil of Death" CD
The Moaning "Blood From Stone" CD ...............
Thornafire "Exacerbated Gnostic Manifestation" CD
Thorngoth "Thelema of Destruction" CD -> exactly like Centinex during the drum-computer phase
Vemoth "Kott Kroksvals" CD -> even better than Arckanum in his heydays

I thought those Lobotomy CDs weren't so great. I got those No Fashion titles from a guy in Sweden who found a bunch of deadstock. I had a bunch more but they all sold.

TOTTENKORPS cd is excellent, but I noticed my copy sounds somewhat cd-skippy at the beginning even though it's not scratched. Does anyone else's?

I've been curious about those LOBOTOMY cds for years - I remember "Against The Gods/Nailed In Misery" being very good DM with the classic Swede guitar tone.

I'll have to check out Heptameron...

They are all like that. I guess the master audio had a skip in it.
