If someone can scan the EP, please contact me at blackvomitrecords@yahoo.com
As i said i have left all my record collection in Greece, including the Absurd 7'' EP.
To answer the questions:
@Grovslakt: The sound of the live recording is definetly not the best. It was recorded live at Idebrunnen in '92. Chris sent me the tape,so its definetly first generation. Dan will master the tape in order to have the best possible result!
@maniact666: The source for the LP is the first generation tape from the gig in '92, plus a rip of my personal copy of "Drained Of Body Chemicals" EP(yeah the copy is near mint and i ripped it before i moved in London). The will be no mastering on the original EP,since it sounds perfectly obscure!!!
@the_flesh: Yes,there will be a CD release as well. Maybe i will put it out at the same with the LP.
And here is a song for the unfamiliar with the band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2_f6ve_y64 _________________ www.blackvomitrecords.com |

a personal Copy from your EP? So you make an mp3 rip and press this on LP? |

Why would he rip it to mp3s instead of wav-files? That makes zero sense. |

A good vinyl rip from a pristine, low-noise record, on a good player, can sound amazing. (But it is definitely atypical to do that kind of sourcing and not master it somehow. I do own a handful of CDs sourced from vinyl though, and the crackle is subtle on most of them; dunno if they did any noise reduction on it, or just had a really clean record.) _________________

I actually found again a C-90 tape from tapetrading days, which had an Absurd rehearsal track (Interment of souls) put somewhere on the tape. The only thing I hear is a wall of overly distorted noise and some grolwing in the back... that tape was lost since long and finally I've found it again but oh well... _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

Speaking of obscure Swedish death metal acts, I'd most highly recommend Sarcasm, I got their Never After/Complete Recordings triple lp, seems to be limited but it might be floating around somewhere, definitely worth every penny. Anyhow I haven't heard Absurd yet, but will check them out for sure. _________________ "By all evidence we are in the world to do nothing."
