This is the new trend obviously: EVOOOOLVING.
After Morbus Chron and Necrovation now Tribulation is "evolving" and becoming more "complex" and ""mature"".
These 3 once excellent Swedish DM bands are all instilling that "progressive" element in their music.
The result? Their music was MUCH MORE enjoyable before IMO
I was lured by the sample track of Necrovation's last effort which turned out to be the BEST track of an album which is unappealing. Very disappointing.
So I'll stick with TORMENTED and STENCH (whose last album is great) and hope for a new VERMINOUS album...

I listen to Tormented's Rotten Death more than any other newer SDM album, that thing just rips. |

Truth.
Not sure what to think of this song yet. Of course I need to hear the whole album. I can see it being a grower, but I miss the unhinged feral insanity of the debut.

I think it's pretty strange no one's mentioned the NEGATIV PLANE tour apparently rubbing off so far, talking about the intro/outro bits. The WATAIN vibe is pretty much obvious alright, both of which does no harm at all in my book though, as the above mentioned bands are great anyway.

What are you talking about?
Usually the whole point of releasing a new track in advance of the album release is to get people interested. Hence why bands usually choose to upload one of the stronger tracks, to showcase the material. This track sucks and if it is supposed to get me excited then it fails. Nothing to do with instant gratification. |

I find this song more interesting than their previous stuff, so I will check out the album, but you can't blame people if they're disappointed.
I doubt many had to listen to the entire new Morbid Angel album to know it was shit.

Tribulation 'The Formulas Of Death' CD will be out on March 1st 2013. Official release date for the European CD. LP will follow in conjunction with The Ajna Offensive!
