i've seen incantation a lot because i lived in illinois until 2003. i saw the onward to golgotha lineup (well, minus ronnie deo) play in '94 and i saw the trio with daniel corchado and kyle severn a lot. i've seen incantation be great, and i've seen them be lackluster. incantation aren't always mindblowing, folks.
last time i saw them, at maryland deathfest a few years ago, i thought they were totally boring.
so, you know, some of their albums are great, some aren't. sometimes they kick ass, sometimes they don't. maybe the fact that they don't draw that great all the time has to do with this. food for thought. i know i'm not exactly dying to see them, despite how great some of their albums are. |
I'm probably in the minority when I say I've never seen them live but I quite enjoy the Reelapse DVD that came with the reissue. Did you see them on that tour? |
