If they are ashamed of that song - which is part of their history - why did they need to re-record it instead of letting sleeping corpses lie? |
to piss off brainless aryan internet warriors ? |
There WAS at that time no widespread internet, no FAST internet and therefore no "internet-warriors" of any kind, dumbass. It was from a whole different time. Why doesn't that finally sicker into that dormant organ you keep hidden somewhere inside your head?
If they change them NOW they only show they cannot stand in for their past.
As for comparing old an new lyrics, I'm all for it, but from what I can make out, they're now all politically correct, only "against god" and so on... But lets see. Someone will surely put them here.

Quote: | Die Juden und Christen, eine Gefahr, weg damit, sie müsen sterben!
(the jews and christians are dangerous. Do away with them, they must die!)
Arische Rasse, eine Bruderschaft! (Aryan Race, a brotherhood)
Juden in die Gaskammer! (Jews into the gas chambers) |
wow, truly the words of a genius, must've taken him a really long time to come up with such a meisterwerk...no wonder they decided to change the lyrics, this is embarassing even for a 9 year old
on the other hand, I'm pretty sure the new lyrics aren't much smarter either |

Judging black metal lyrics based on their intellectual content is rather far off the point, don't you think? |

Qliphotic gibberish, on the other hand, is widely believed to prove superior intellect, as a matter of course... _________________ Horde Absurd: www.hordeabsurd.com

This.
And as if persons suddenly became true thinkers after their "occult awakening". Time may help people grow intellectually, but there are so many other reasons to change... _________________

I'm just pissed off at the REASON they changed it. Its not necessary at all. The song was what it was for its lyrics, no matter how primitive and brainless they may be. And the band simply should stand up for this, or otherwise record altogether NEW songs which will be as boring as the rest of their new material.
The rest of the lyrics on Dor-nu-Fauglith wasn't that stupid, not in any way outstanding but not primitive either. |

Whatever happened to an album just sounding wicked ?
I've personally never considered resorting to metal albums for a intellectual enlightenment, would books not offer a better resource ?
Sure albums based on certain literature or books gives a album a different slant... but still, this is music, first and fore most or no ? |

Certainly pathetic on their part. Not that the new material was remarkable anyway, but PC black metal=total faggotry. Not to mention that if they were against god, they'd be against the god of the jews, christians and muslims, yet they choose the one that's safe to "rebel" against. This band should've never come back. It's like Kristallnacht coming back and recording "A Strife..." with lyrics like "oh guys christians are bad and god oppresses us and nazis suck lets rebel agains christians so we can be free" _________________

BM in the mid-late-90-ies was (especially in France, Germany, Greece and Poland, back then) more of an attitude-thing than music. Today its just music. ANd this cannot be reversed. Doesen't make the behaviour of OI any better, OR their sound of today. |

I do think OI and their likes have an ideology, at least they do show one, but one more fitting the trends of today. _________________
