Really dug Old Coven and Black Fucking cancer at that gig, but Deiphago just came off way too sloppy and goofy to me. I was impressed that they were playing through Rickenbackers and Gibson Les Pauls and still managed to sound so unintelligable. Ritual Combat was really generic too, missed the opener.

The bar sucks so much that by the time Deiphago played, all the monitors are dead. Any band would come off sloppy playing without monitors. |

That's complete and utter bullshit. Bands have played in small venues for aeons without monitors nor problems. It's just how you do it.

Deiphago play chaotic shit. Yes, it sounded "sloppy" in SF, but does Filipino Antichrist sound exceptionally clean and orderly? I thought their set killed, pure chaos.

It didn't sound like the chaos of the albums I have heard, it just sounded like sloppy mush. I walked around the room to try to hear it from a lot of different spots, but nothing really helped. Hoping it was just an off night for them and they'll be better at MDF. In any case they should have proper monitors there if that is really a legitimate excuse.
disclaimer: I am pretty picky about 'war metal' , much of it sounds weak and silly to me.
