I just finished watching "Narc."

Fuck the police (Especially in Anaheim and Long Beach).

After watching each and every one of these movies well over 20 times I finally bought:

Alien Quadrilogy
The Thing

Nice to stop having to rent my favorites, at least as far as The Thing and the first two Alien flicks go.

Currently marathoning all 5.

Man, what a tragedy "Alien: Resurrection" was. Such a dream combo of director and franchise. Visually stunning as expected but absolutely devoid of fright. So sad.

Just watched 'The Thieves' on netflix, some lighthearted heist korean & chinese movie with big names like Simon Yam (he rules). I liked it, anyway. I would prefer a Johnnie To movie but this one was good.

This thread prompted me to finally check out Deadbeat At Dawn after hearing good things for quite a while and I was not disappointed. Holy shit, what a great flick! One of the few micro-budget films that actually holds up on its own merit of being a cool and interesting movie, rather than just being a curiosity based on the low production values and wacky history behind its creation. It is a shame than Van Bebber didn't go on to bigger things. He could have been another Abel Ferrara with better luck...

Also I saw You're Next last night. Super fun. I remember seeing previews and being really turned off by the animal masks (which I still think are kinda corny), but I'm very glad I checked it out. Nothing groundbreaking but really enjoyable. Recommended.

Wolf Of Wall Street - Well made but couldn't stand watching those investment scumbags for three hours. Was hoping they'd be eviscerated much sooner in the film

American Hustle - Entertaining performances but pretty messy script/direction.

One of the sickest and most repulsive movies of its time - and probably d'Amatos best.

Yeah, but Joe D'Amato "Anthropophagus" is also quite good.

You want to see a pretty gross movie check out Lucifer Valentine's "Regoregitated Sacrifice". Nasty shit!

Just watched the first episode of that new HBO show "True Detective" and it ruled. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season.

I watched this last week, enjoyed it as well and looking forward to the new episode tomorrow night.

Tonight I watched a movie named "The Place Beyond the Pines". It was pretty good but man, talk about being bummed out at the end.

I'd hope so, it has some real a-list talent in there. The teaser I'd seen looked pretty cool, I'll have to check it out when the bluray is released.
I'm rewatching Talented Mr Ripley, I hadn't seen it since it was on pay per view in 1999 or 2000, whenever.
