Yeah no Bruce was another downer. However him and Sam were both very much involved with the remake.

I cannot stand Bruce Campbell in anything but the first two Evil Deads. That man and his (ironic?) following make my blood boil for some reason.

If that makes you not check out Bubba Ho-Tep, you're missing out on an amazing movie.

+1. Nothing beats a black JFK and Elvis in a old folks home.

Just got done watching Four Rooms and Deadfall.

Just saw Black Sunday, really awesome old style horror. Also saw The Stalker recently. Very strange movie, really love the scenery in it very cool imagery and landscapes. It is a very dialogue driven movie and probably very meaningful but honestly I need to see it again in order to really understand it, not as easily enjoyable as Solaris.

Solaris (original) is in my top ten of all time. Check out Andrei Rublev!

Evil Dead (2013) - Fucking awesome and virtually 100 percent comedy/CGI free.

So it's better than the trailer? It looked like it was going to be total shit.

Yeah the fact that they didn't use CGI made it that much better.

Much more old school vibe that way, I'm sure that's what they had in mind.

King Fowley gave it a 92/100 and he hates most nowadays horror and remakes. Check out the red band trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHDJm1D2ELw

Saw the remake last night high as fuck. It was good enough to see, but still not like the original (of course). Around 80% through the movie, it hastens to the point of ending way too fast. They did not focus on the Necronomicon as much as they should have (my friends likened the design and pages to a kiddie "comic book"), had drawn-out focus on some gore sections, and I was hoping for more chainsaw action.

The best parts, to be honest, are in the trailer. They could have just released the trailer. The end.
