Definitely a fine example of style over substance. With that said it was visually amazing enough for me to really like it, I just wish the story was stronger.

Seeing a coked out giant like the Rock was amusing. The guy is literally a Panzer Tank.

I cant stand Mark Wahlberg, that guy is basically a white negro.

Hence being perfect playing the role he did in the film making the film work for what it was showing. Wink

Excellent casting. Funny thing I kept thinking the actual black dude was Wil Smith fattened out a little. Laughing

Ah. I've got this lined-up, but I'm kind of expecting it to be like this...Lots of Ryan Gosling staring into the distance, being all brooding and hardly saying anything, then occasional displays of extreme ( unnecessary?!) violence, all with lots of neon lighting..?!

Watched "The place beyond the pines" and "Lawless" and both were really shitty.

Anyone seen "Only god forgives"?

Lawless was really shitty? Whats a good movie to you?

Recently watched Brazil (the terry gilliam flick), better 1984 inspired movie than the 1984 movie. Time Bandits is still my fav of his.

The Couch Trip.

Watched it for the first time recently since my teenage years. Still laughed as much as I did back then. Underrated movie in my opinion.

The Iceman.

Pretty good. Michael Shannon is a good actor.
I saw someone mentioned Bug, and that is indeed a good film.

Then I watched some of the Iceman tapes interviews. Interesting that they don't include any of the domestic violence that apparently happened. I couldn't tell if at some points he was playing up to being detached, cold and psychopathic ( lack of empathy etc etc) about all the killings. Regardless, interesting stuff...

Just started watching the third season of game of thrones.
