The Vault, about a haunted Bank vault, no really it is.

people used to commit suicides in bank vaults quite a lot in Australia many years ago. There were tunnels under banks leading to vaults and all that, but didnt get used a whole lot, so I guess people figured they wouldnt be found for a while.

A rather good modern-day western.

I really dug this flick. The director also wrote Hell or Highwater and Sicario.

Then its probably a great film! I'll put it on my watchlist.

Watching a lot of movies until new job starts on February 12 Smile

*= first time viewing

029. 01/19 - The Bar* (Netflix) - Alex De La Iglesias' latest is great,
030. 01/19 - Freaks(DVD) - Classic. No comment needed.
031. 01/19 - Deathdream (DVD) Classic Bob Clark.
032. 01/19 - American Nightmares (DVD) - My favorite feel good film.

033. 01/20 - The War Game (bluray) Kick ass pseudo-documentary from Peter Watkins circa 1967.
034. 01/20 - The Day After (DVD) - Decent but not as effective as back in the day.
035. 01/20 - Threads (DVD) - The best nuclear war movie ever.

036. 01/22 - Den of Thieves* (cinema) Pretty generic but the final heist and gun battle were very well done.
037. 01/22 - Bad Grandmas* (VOD) Fucking crap

038. 01/23 - Darkest Hour* (cinema) Outstanding film, perfect to watch before Dunkirk. Oldman's portrayal of Churchill is outstanding.

Saw Nocturnal Animals.
The structure was a little odd ( a story within a story), but worth watching. Jake G does a good job as usual and Michael Shannon is great.

a very cool flick. i have a feeling that it is really about the main character suffering the negation disorder or something similar.

Really liked that film. The opening credits alone make that a must watch. Truly bizarre sequence.

caught Lucky last night, HDS' triumphant swansong. King. God. Love how slow & philosophical it was without being overly intellectual or unnecessarily sentimental. "CUNTS!".

Looking forward to Hostiles with Christian Bale. The premise seems interesting and films about that particular era are usually pretty enjoyable. Some time before it hits the cinemas, though, at least here.

"Parents" from 1989 with Randy Quaid. Really fucking bizarre movie, I think many of you would be into it. About a kid with cannibal parents. Really uneasy atmosphere and cool aura you wouldn't expect. Anyone seen this?

Diabel by Andrzej Zulawski last night, 10/10.

Also thanks to those here who pointed out the Subspecies movies. First three are great, the last one has a strange atmosphere that differs too much from the other ones. Vampire journals is pretty bad IMO.
