This is a very well done film. A step ahead from the ''Call of Cthulu'' by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. |
Very excited for this one, is it available on DVD (only)? "Call of Cthulhu" was great.
And it doesn't look terrible at all. This is exactly the style of the 30ies/40ies cinema posters. |

One of my favorite films ever ! Have you seen Carne, the short film prequel to I Stand Alone ?
Recently watched The Raid: Redemption... Awesome action film and one of the goriest/most violent films I've ever seen. |

There you go: http://www.cthulhulives.org/store/storeDetailPages/whisperer-dvd.html
If you want to preview the film before considering the purchase, then download it from a torrent website. |

I have a french boxset for Irreversible that has Carne on it but no Engl. It would be really nice if some nice US dvd/bluray company would release Carne/I stand Alone.. I didn't see his last film- I couldn't believe the ridiculous plot I read & a few people I trust said it sucks. |

^ I've wanted to see I stand alone for years, should really get round to it.
His latest...Enter the void? Extremely long, obviously pretty "arty" ( i.e. pretentious at times), but I still enjoyed it. Some interesting and unique cinematography and fucked-up atmospheres.
I didn't think the plot was that ridiculous really.
Anyway, I watched Zombie Flesh Eaters ( aka zombi 2) again recently, classic zombie film, definitely up there. |

Rented the R-rated dvd for William Friedkin's KILLER JOE. I will not be seeking out the uncut dir's cut on blu-ray. The cut dvd is, at least, a few seconds shorter. I thought it was terrible.
Yeah, Enter the Void. From what I barely remember reading, the plot just sounded dumb. I kept expecting the local rental store to get it in but they never did & I wasn't about to buy it. I've thought about d/l'ing it but it's way at the bottom of the list.. |

Enter The Void was incredible, but having seen it once I have no desire to watch it again. It is something that I think could only 'work' on a big screen and the sound cranked up.
If you have read reviews and know most of the details of what transpires, I would imagine it would be simply tedious. |
