The stitching, that's what.

The stitching on the sleeves on my Moenen of Xezbeth and a Teitanblood shirts have come undone after 3-4 wears. They weren't used in rough conditions either, just regular wear.

Dont really intend this to be a bitch-thread, but is this normal for this brand?
Any recommendations on which brand to avoid, or which brand to buy, when buying shirts?

Which kind of Gildan was it?

Exactly, tell the type because there's a lot of different Gildan type shirts.

I've used Heavy Cotton and Ultra Cotton for merch and had no issues with them.

oh right, I forgot there were a couple of styles. I remember some murmuring in other threads here and there, but didn’t really take notice the.

the Teitanblood shirt is “soft style” which I got from Europe and the MoX is ultra cotton, bought from the states.

I’ll sew them up, it’s no big deal. Just didn’t expect them to wear out so soo

This "soft style" is usually crap. Very thin, wears out fast. The only exception on these are B&C soft, they seem to last very good on the long term. For Gildan, I only use "heavy cotton" type.

More importantly...whats with all the shitty thin stretched out collars on shirts now a days...how about a decent elastic collar, 90's style.

Fruit of the Loom's Heavy Cotton is my favorite.

This. Gildan Softstyle is highly comfortable, but you'll get tiny holes all over the tee within just a few washes. To top it off, the sleeves are ridiculously short even in bigger sizes. Gildan Heavy Cotton all the way

Don't know to what extent it's actual world-wide, but according to reports from few local merch manufacturers there is a bunch of counterfeit Gildan and especially Fruit of the Loom lately. That's actually may be a reason why ppl claim about big difference in FotM sizes from batch to batch.

Mostly pissed with FotL, but I have to admit that their navy blue sleeveless (obviously original as only madman would invest into copying fucking sleeveless in that colour) on which I've done Panteon merch is thick and durable as Gildan Ultra Cotton, no exaggeration in that very case. But the most fucked in FotL line are hoodies, that's for sure! Mad

Never had a problem with Gildan Heavy or Ultra. Easily the most consistent quality and fit. What, if any, is the difference between the two? I don't really notice a difference.

Ultra Cotton is a tad heavier and softer than Heavy Cotton. 6.0oz vs 5.3oz

FotL, Gildan, B&C... are all cheap bar ware crap. No cut in clothing, fits like a potato sack and just looks shitty. Prefer to wear high quality clothing from right winged brandings like Thor Steinar, European Brotherhood, Ansgar Aryan, Keep it White, White Rex, ect. since this cheap 3rd world bar ware from FotL and Gildan become more and more abrasive. Threads that come off, warped shirts, holes that appear after the 5th washing ...
