Been giving these guys a random listen in the past couple days due to a mention in the GBK topic as well as the recent resurgent interest in the old Greek scene.
Thatís pummeling, original stuff for sure!

Whatís their best work to start with?

Also, I think I read somewhere the main guy was kinda involved in NS occultism back then!?

It was/is a project from the guys of Necromantia, Rotting Christ and Mortify.
Listen the demo/ep/spilt material and the first two albums and then skip everything else!

The Regal Pulse of Lucifer is quite good as well, one can definitely skip the stuff in between.

The first 7" is phenomenal. I've actually never gone beyond it and Eosforos, but both are so good I never felt I needed to.

it is! kinda has that 90s sound. I like DV8 too, by the way. Like with any band I'd just listen to the first album first though.

Demo / 7" material and their first full album were the best. It's like a brutal version of rotting christ. And their latest album was great, too. Those two in the middle aren't bad, but they don't fit.

For me the peak of their career is Apollyon! But Eosforos and their returning album on NWN are also damn good! What else could you expect from the veterans of the mighty greek scene? Societas Satanas!!!

I like Eosforos best. I could never get into Apollyon all that much.

Same here. I like Regal Pulse of Lucifer a lot more than Apollyon. But definitely Eosforos is the best place to start

Agree with the Eosforos and Apollyon albums.Don't know how hard it is to find these days but seek out the Diabolou Archaes Legeones cd.It has both of those great releases on the one disc.(Unisound Records Uniforce 001)All 16 tracks flow together really well for me.Im interested in other recommendations on here too.

If you open the N.A.O.S. - Melancholia cd, you will see Magus wearing a Totenkopf necklace. And also the title of the first track is called The Storm from Wewelsburg. Magus certainly had an interest in NS occultism. Twisted Evil

Everybody pretty much nailed it. Allof their stuff is great and like most, I could not click with DV8 and Orgia.

My fave Thou Art Lord material would have to be the 7 inch Diabolou Archaes Legeones. Also own that killer shirt as well!
