The saddest part for me

Was thinking

10 years ago these guys would have NEVER done this

But the genre is so dead/stagnant they're consenting to essentially a Vice Magazine version of "Where Are They Now" special

I still like Xasthur's music Crying or Very sad

it's basically all gotten too "arty", or I suppose, it's been like that for many years now. Can't stand that shit.

These endless black metal docos are getting really fucking annoying, and IMHO, kind of the antithesis of black metal.

Still, I've been wondering when this doco would be out.

And just be glad it's not another documentary about Norwegian Black Metal.

Of course this is going to be presented in a subjective fashion, the creators need the characters to appear to be a certain way.

"Black metal has always been outsider art in its most brutal form."

Black metal was doomed to scrutiny from its inception. It forces artists to maintain a single dimensional representation of themselves, or else the public will cry deceit. People are not one dimensional, and this perpetual effort by the media to pigeonhole these artists and this genre does more harm than good, I think.

What's that track that starts at around the 2 minute mark? Is it a Leviathan track?
