Cd Longboxes

Remember those vanity packagings american cds came with until 1992? all deathmetal and thrash classics came with it back then. Does anyone have any in their collections? Come up with photos if you have any!

yea i have some of those horrible things, they didnt stop in 1992 , i have a cannibal corpse one from about 2003, i ll go into the attic and find some.

I have that slayer , i think i also had cianide and sarkoma ones also

this one is generic peaceville longbox has a cutout square hole to show cd cover I mean those with fully reworked artwork,like deicide morbid angel etc...

I used to use the cardboard artwork to make tape covers for the cassette dub I would make of the CD...

If i am not wrongly,there is a terrorizer- world downfall album which comes also in a longbox.

In US every single metal record as well as any other genre cds came out in longboxes until 1992 , some were generic company sleeves like metal blade, peaceville with a die cut sleeve for cd cover that sat inside, others - hte collectable ones- had full size artwork adapted to the shape Roadrunner, Earache, Nuclear Blast licenses etc.
Froend of mine has all death metal longboxes that came out back then, it is around 100.
