My OG copy saves me from having to indulge in this nowadays Earache tomfoolery.

You can think of Dig Pearson whatever you want but he hit the nail right on the head with this one: http://www.askearache.blogspot.de/2012/05/morbid-angel-various-pressings-on-vinyl.html |
Some of us actually can tell the difference between different masters, but I will admit that most vinyl sales go to total wankers that we like to call "hipsters" that never even listen to their records. _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com

The guy in the blog listens to his records. It just took him 10 years to buy a turntable. _________________ http://www.darkdescentrecords.com |

I was more about the last paragraph where he mentions the skepticism of some Doom Metal board dudes that the Iron Monkey records would sound inferior due to being mastered from a digital source...
Sure, there are records out there that sound like shit but as long as the record sounds good, I couldn't care less where the material came from, let alone pretty much everything post 2000 has been recorded or at least been mixed down to digital. There's certainly nothing wrong with using the original reels but if you have the same mixdown on a DAT or CD it will be virtually impossible to tell a difference except that the analogue tape from the 80s/90s will most likely sound worse today.
Regardless of that, Earache reissues have been good soundwise, at least the ones I bought were. |

I think that was probably the first BT album that got reissued on vinyl in the recent years, but I guess it was sold out during the meantime... _________________ Taphephobia Productions |

Hmm, though at least DAT has higher sampling than CD. I can justify that... |

When did this happen? Ive been waiting for a re-issue as its the only one I don't have on vinyl & have all but given up finding it again. I would definitely buy a re-issue and at least the cover would probably be the same as I doubt Delacroix will be returning from the grave to claim his royalties any time soon. _________________ Seance Records

Full Dynamic Range release would be great. The 1st two Napalm D. Lp's are more Replicas than Re-Releases.. |
