Really? I've always thought it was incredibly stupid looking and that Paul Ledney has zero eye for aesthetics, but maybe that's just me. At least he made some really killer music, though.
I mean, this is one of the worst covers in the history of bad covers. If they had someone paint it and change some stuff, it would be cool potentially. But as it is... well, like the pic above says...

Something about the contrast of a black metal musician with blood all over his face standing in the middle of a happy green field made me interested in the album. Then finding out who Ledney and Profanatica are only made it better. I was pretty bummed when I got the reissue and they changed all of the colors.
That Incantation EP cover just seems lazy and generic to me. |

Agreed completely. I actually think all the covers are great up until Blasphemy. That album was like a Photoshop Bomb that ruined Incantation album covers until this album. The painting for Decimate Christendom wasn't terrible I guess, it just looked too much like an effort to return to the old cover style.
Anyway, getting way off topic. The important thing is I'm sure the album is going to be fucking great and the artwork is killer this time. |
