Been spinning the early WASP albums non stop over the past few days. Without a doubt, some of my favorite material ever crafted. I've always felt that Wasp should have been up there with the greats for that time period in metal.. Holmes's riffs had a great gnarl to them, and Blackie's voice screamed 80's metal.

Personal choice would have to be the debut with The Headless Children very close behind.

I enjoy all early W.A.S.P.!Anyway, I voted for "Inside the Electric Circus", because I like the lyrics,/the songwriting and it was the first album by them I listened to. Very Happy Their first one and The headless Children come very very close behind.

Has to be the s/t for me. Great songs, very catchy, and has a lot of replay value.

I don't think the Last Command is really all that great of an album; Wild Child is essential W.A.S.P., but the rest of the album is largely forgettable. Headless Children is solid (Rebel in the F.D.G.!!). Never heard Electric Circus.

Nice thread.
One of the best bands of our music.
Classic and all time-weather-season-year listenable.
I can't forget the feeling of the first listening of S/T.What a fury.
Still my favorite.

I enjoy almost all,even their 00s!

I still miss ''K F D '' though.
Always forget buying it,even if some reviews/critics write it's the worst.

Been playing WASP a lot lately. For 80s material I like The Headless Children the most with the s/t being a very close second.

Truly one of the best American HM bands ever!

Kill Fuck Die is a great album to me, very nihilist, raw, brutal, it stinks and it's dirty, perfect W.A.S.P, and Blackie is great on it. I can understand that some people don't like the modern production and arrangements however...

Headless Children easily, but W.A.S.P. is great. Last Commands ok, Insidde the Electric Circus is méh.

But what the point of talking only about the first 4 albums ? I've never understood why 90's and 00's were never talked about.

The Crimson Idol and Unholy Terror are 2 of the best masterpieces released by the band, close to the perfection of Hadless Children, and K.F.D. is an amazing album as well. And Dominator is really good as well, better than 2nd & 3rd album in my book.

And hell, Double Live Assassins slays the Live in the Raw (and most of live album ever released actually).

Mandatory band anyway, but don't make the mistake to listen only to the first part of their career.

I'll admit I don't know their catalog beyond The Crimson Idol, but that album is definitely my favorite W.A.S.P. release of the albums I know. I'll have to check out Unholy Terror

What Speedevilucifer and Brooklyn Bastard said.
'The Crimson Idol' is my favourite, but s/t is the best one of the 80's era, followed by 'The Headless Children'. 'The Last Command' has my favourite song by W.A.S.P., though, which is "Widowmaker".

'Unholy Terror' is so damn good, I gotta take a listen to the albums I've never heard before.

Last Command from this list, but Crimson Idol is Blackie's best work by far. Monstrous album and certainly the least superficial/party album... but it still has a fair share of straight rockers.

K.F.D. and Unholy Terror are great, I've always felt that Wasp has always truly shined when Holmes played guitar. The dynamic playing and energy he brought to the band was unmatched.

The Crimson Idol is a good album, but I don't regard it as their best by any means what so ever.
