My label recently co-released this excellent album, if you're interested it is available to purchase here for $12 + shipping: http://nocturnalreign.storenvy.com/products/14728281-iskra-ruins

Full album is also available for streaming and free download directly from the band: https://iskracrust.bandcamp.com/album/ruins

Great record, as everything they've put out.

Is this band still being marketed as "black metal"?

I don't think they ever did themselves. Pretty sure it was just lazy journalism.

I'm very sure they did themselves, and they wouldn't be wrong, as it's obvious.

They've always been 'marketed' through the DIY punk scene (e.g distributed, touring etc). Like Martyrdod, they're obviously influenced by BM, but they've never tried to kvlt themselves off. It was always just message boards and mainstream metal press desperate for some kind of crust/BM crossover that pushed that angle AFAIK.

Anyway. Boring conversation. Play on.

Good to see you got your copies!

The post above is pretty much right. Since around the Bureval album the band has just called it Anarchist Metal.

Our bass player left recently so we're looking for a replacement but new material is in the works. Will soon start planning another European tour for next year as well.

Not really into this whole 'crust' black metal thing.

Used to love this band as a teenager, honestly haven't kept up with or thought of them the last few years. Will have to check this record out at some point.
