Aye, saw that announcement at Cargo Records, that's a big German distributor, the other day, and it's a Century Media re-release apparently.
| Quote: | | Highly sought after for years, Sweden's melodic black metal outfit SACRAMENTUM's fantastic debut album "Far Away From The Sun" (1996) is now officially reissued!!! Never released on vinyl before & now garnered with improved sound and artwork. |
Well, I've never been into Sacramentum's plinky plunky kind of black metal wherefore I shouldn't mind at all, but I'm wondering about what they mean with "improved artwork" given that the original art by Wåhlin was quite moody and fitting already. What's there to improve on an artwork by him? _________________ THE GOOD TRADERS LIST |

The original artwork was fantastic. If it doesn't have the original artwork this re-issue can fuck off. No t so sure what "improved" artwork means.
Excellent music though. I happen to enjoy Sacramentum much more than Dissection and even Dawn's Slaughtersun. Which is saying a lot because both Dissection and Dawn are great. |

In order to avoid creating a new topic for each and every re-release coming up these days, I want to add that the vinyl reissue of Marduk's "Dark Endless" is also announced on Century Media for the 16th of November, together with that Sacramentum.
| Quote: | | Swedish black metal legend MARDUK proudly presents you the definite version of its infamous debut album "Dark Endless"! "Dark Endless" has been completely remastered and comes along with the "The Eye Of Funeral" intro which was missing on the original version. |

It usually means some odd-looking crap slightly resembling the theme of the original with some horrible photoshop effects added to it, new fonts for the album title and three unreleased, useless pictures somewhere in the inner sleeve.
Not holding my breath to it though, it remains little more than a decent Dissection clone in my book. _________________ Permaban him

Everything on that albums reeks of Dissection in a pretty shameless way, artwork, vocals, sound -not necessarily a bad thing btw. People who don't see the obvious Dissection references in FAFTS are either deaf or norsecore talebans who probably listen to Xasthur and think Katharsis' 666 is the best bm record ever. _________________ Permaban him

no, people who say Sacramentum were a clone of Dissection are obviously deaf ...of course those two bands have similarities, I wasn't saying otherwise |
