So I notice that Metal Mind just reissued a few of Warhammer's albums...anyone know if the band is aware of this?

Metal Mind have released loads of legit Roadrunner and Nuclear Blast stuff in recent years.

Yeah, but not everything has been...at least, not supported by the bands.

Being obsessed by bands with Hellhammer-ish sound in these weeks (more than always), I resume this old trade to search new contribution.

For my side I can add an interesting band from Poland not mentioned before: DEADLY FROST

Todesweihe on their last EP "The Black Mass". Not really a clone, but some Hellhammer like riffs and beats.

Digging out 8 year old threads. Eat this:

Currently re-discovering some sampler CDs in my collection. This is called "In Crust We Trust" from Lost&Found Records sometime in early-to-mid 90es. Besides some killer Crude SS tracks (L&F released the Crude SS compilation CD with Hellhammer like Crust from '85 from these Swedes) there is also Malefice on this sampler. An EP got relesased in 1984 which was more punk, but later recordings have been heavier with a massive Hellhammer influence.

I found one track from the sampler on youtube. Buy the CD for cheap, the guitar tone is even heavier than on this youtube recording:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXwM6s9UfO0

(the more punky '84 EP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_RHcczHVAQ)

Actually I bough the Compilation sampler LP that came out on Lost And Found roughly in 1990 (written on the LP). Disappointing to say at least. The two tracks on the Label Compilation CD are the only ones that have this Hellhammer guitar sound and the Denial Fiend like drumbeat. The other tracks seem to be older (though already better than the punky 7" from 1984 that can be found on youtube too) and have no highs no lows, so easy forgettable stuff. No Hellhammer in these remaining songs... only the first two are ace. Sad, hoped to find one more hidden gem...

AAMONHAMMER from Brazil (on Warfare Noise 2) were really good, and might be one of the older ones?

Rampage and Megiddo split covered the whole AR album, and it's quite cool.

I tried my best with two ex-members, but alas to no avail. Seems like they want to keep it shelved and forgotten.

But you could as Mr. Auric Records, maybe he has better luck. Wink

not HH related but related to Malefice, the United Mutation discography is incredible if you've not heard it (in particular the Rainbow Person EP)-
