I did the cover for this release, so I'm hardly objective, but I love his music. Very well-written old school death metal with strong atmosphere. I hope some label picks this up for a broader release - so far it's only available as a self-released pro printed CD-R, limited to 100. Way too good to have so few copies out there.
Anybody looking for it, you can get it from the band, and Dark Descent has copies in stock too.
EDIT - Drew has sold out apparently, but according to the myspace page you can still get it from Dark Descent, Skeleton Plague, and Razorback. _________________

That one (and the large-scale CD release) are still up for grabs. _________________

Quite liked that tape, didn't realize it was a one man band during the first listen though.
Still have a copy in the distro, just in case someone wants one. _________________ TERRORGHOUL PROD. |

I, Voidhanger Records announces the multi-album signing of crushing old school death metal act THE WAKEDEAD GATHERING to its ever expanding roster.
Based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, the band is comprised solely of Andrew Lampe and has already released the acclaimed full-length album "Tenements Of Ephemera" in 2010 as a pro-printed CD-r limited to 100 copies (and later as a pro tape co-produced by Dark Descent Records and Skeleton Plague Records).
"Tenements Of Ephemera" was well received by the underground press and the true death metal fanatics thanks to its personal review of the early Incantation/early Immolation canons, with great emphasis on rhythmic changes and dark, twisted melodies.
In the near future we are going to release the band's sophomore album as well as the CD reissue of "Tenements Of Ephemera", with expanded artwork and possibly some bonus material. But first it will be time for THE WAKEDEAD GATHERING's most recent effort, a six track EP aptly titled "Dark Circles". The tracking list:
1. Lexicon: Transudae
2. Conjuring The Altered Void
3. Dark Circles
4. In The Midst Of The Tranquil Spheres
5. Mortuus Maculae
6. Inhale The Eclipse
"Dark Circles" is scheduled for a late Spring release. Cover art by Subtrocity. |

The last one was great and the programmed drums even sounded good. Very good band. Looking forward to the new one. _________________ Music:

The "Dark Circles" EP is now scheduled for a September release, layout is almost done. I've got the master a few weeks ago, and there's no doubt that those who appreciated the first album will love the EP. Dark and twisted riffs, a good balance between straight old school death metal and more complex structures, and visionary lyrics with a Lovecraftian vibe.
The band is already working on the next full-length... _________________ I, VOIDHANGER RECORDS
