I checked many larger and smaller labels/distros but only found the "Human" "ITP" and "SoP" reissues everywhere.
Obviously, I'm looking for the earlier records.
But, before anyone mentions buying 2nd-hand would be my best option, I still wonder why these records aren't widely available.
Discuss. |

Relapse is reissuing all the albums as 2 disc sets over time, as much as the label sucks they are doing a decent job with these. _________________

I haven't seen the reissues because I'm only interested in the first 3 Death albums, but from what I hear they've all been top-notch so far.
Just two things I don't understand: why isn't Relapse releasing the Death catalog in chronological order, and why is it taking so long between Death releases?
And did anyone really need Relapse to reissue those two crappy live albums before reissuing Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy, or Spiritual Healing??? _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

Remastering as well? "Human" and "ITP" most certainly needed the handling, but I don't know about the earlier albums... Might backfire. |

i think licensing has been the issue with the earlier albums, yeah they'll all be re-mastered as well. _________________

Original editions are easy to find from discogs/ebay. _________________

A remastering of the first three Death albums would be stupid, they are perfectly produced.
And yes, I also mean Spiritual Healing. One of the sickest albums ever, in the truest sense of the word. |

Anything worth having on those 2 disc sets? I was vaguely curious about them but the first one I looked into seemed to just have a bunch of instrumental tracks and things like that. That doesn't interest me so much. _________________

The Live in Germany disc on ITP is really cool - I think the demos on SoP and Human are cool too, but if you don't care about demos there's not going to be much to interest you. The remasters sound amazing though, totally worth it for that factor alone |

| They fucked up on the ITP one, they killed the seperation between the guitars and took the reverb off the vocals from what I rememeber, the idiots. Human on the other hand was really well done. |

If you have the originals, probably not worth getting re-releases, if you don't, probably is. There you go _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com
